There are parents who cry silently for their children.

When God speaks these words, He is not improvising. He is not responding to a momentary human desire. He speaks from eternity, from a purpose already planned and already desired.

But perhaps today God wants to remind us of something:

The miracle does not begin only in our children… it begins first in us. The best gift we can give our children is our prayers… prayers that are persistent, constant, and filled with love.

But the Lord also wants to teach us that this prayer must be made with faith and hope, not from despair or anxiety. Because when we live consumed by fear, we stop looking at God and focus only on the problem.

Many times, when we have difficulties with a child, we place all our attention on him or her, and forget that the Lord first wants to work in us. He wants to heal us, shape us, and transform us.

We are all wounded. And someone who is sick has limitations in helping another sick person. But someone who allows themselves to be healed by God can love better, walk alongside better, and help better.

Perhaps the difficult process we are going through with our children is also the path God is using to draw us closer to Him, to heal our hearts, and to teach us to truly depend on His love.

And He has promises. Like the one in Acts 16:31:

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your whole family.”

So the work does not begin only with our children. It begins with us.

God is almighty. With a single breath He created the universe. Of course He can transform the lives of our children. But He also expects something from us: a willing heart.

Let us remember the words God spoke to Joshua and Caleb:

“Be strong and courageous.”

Today He repeats them to us as well.

Be diligent in prayer. Be courageous enough to allow yourself to be shaped by God. Recognize that there are wounds to heal and much to transform. Because when God begins His work in us, He also begins to pour out His grace upon our family.

Do not grow weary of praying for your children.

While you pray, God is also working in you.
